Adrienne says: We re-recorded Ninth Ward and Extraordinary Secrets of April, May and June. We decided to move forward.

We really enjoyed Ninth Ward and for an adult author writing her first children’s book, it was a good job well done.

As for Secrets, Emily enjoyed it more than the rest of us, although we could all relate to the sibling relationship and the arguing.

This was the first time I’ve listened to your podcast, and I will definitely be making a point to listen from now on. I enjoyed your review and the information on reader’s advisory. I think that if Daisy Whitney had named the group something else, the ties with “To Kill a Mockingbird” would have been lost (the gum wrappers, writing in the book, and possibly others) … but then again, was the tie to “To Kill a Mockingbird” necessary or just extra?

However, I almost choked on my smoothie a few times … there should be a warning about how funny/snarky you get (thanks for making me laugh even though it could have ended badly).

  2. All right, I give up. I’m just going to read the book because I need to be In the Know.

    Maggie,
I vacillate between concern for your almost choking to inappropriate delight that we are hazardous. Who knew humor could be dangerous?

    MotherReader,
Yes, definitely get In the Know. People in In the Know are happy here and we have cookies!

  4. Nice banner photo.
