Ernest Cline: A Real Genius

Play

*SPOILER* interview with “Ready Player One” author Ernest Cline. Cline co-wrote “Fanboys” a movie about a group of friends who travel cross-country to steal “Star Wars: Episode 1″ from the George Lucas ranch. Hilarity ensues. Have you seen it? No? Well, go see it. It’s geek nirvana.

Cline also wrote the movie sequel to “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension”. Have you seen it? Of course not. It’s only in script format and you can find it on his website. You should start a letter campaign to get the movie made.

Cline drove to the interview in his DeLorean and let the audience take pictures and sit in it. The car comes complete with a flux capacitor for time travel which is very handy.

I’ll see you on the flip side…
