“Being Real” Indi Reviews

In our quest to be real we reviewed these books:

  • “Penguin and Pinecone: A Friendship Story” by Salina Yoon
  • “The Clockwork Sacab” by Colleen Gleason
  • “Rhyming Dust Bunnie” by Jan Thomas
  • The Bechdel Test [note: I was mistaken when applying the test to “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” There are more than two women in it: Ferris’s girlfriend, his sister and his mother, plus a few random classmates. Only his sister and mother talk to each other AND not about a man (see the police station scene. I (happily) stand corrected. –Adrienne]
