CYA Podcast Book Review Policy
The CYA Book Review Podcast is by and for librarians who serve children and young adults. We select the books we read and provide in-depth reviews for librarians who purchase books and recommend them to youth. We adhere to the Library Bill of Rights http://www.ala.org/ala/issuesadvocacy/intfreedom/librarybill/index.cfm, the Freedom to Read Statement http://www.ala.org/advocacy/intfreedom/statementspols/freedomreadstatement, Raganathan’s Five Laws of Library Science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_laws_of_library_science and the Reader’s Bill of Rights by Book Chat Central.
We review all book genres and formats for youth from birth to age 18, including fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels. We review books of the current year and two years older.
We review books by small presses.
